Beispiel: Die Konstruktion / Konfiguration eines Produktes, Bauteils oder eine Maschine wird digital durch den Kunden vorgenommen. Gleichzeitig wird ein geringerer Verkaufspreis angeboten, der zusätzlich digital über genutzte Betriebsstunden/ Lizenzgebühren abgerechnet wird.
Mehrwert: Das Unternehmen senkt Kosten in der Produktion, es wird nur das produziert was gebraucht wird. Darüber hinaus erhält es dauerhaft Einnahmen und ist digital mit seinen Kunden verbunden.
